Extreme Green Challenge

Prepare yourself for the all-new Green Challenge

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary’s all-new, exhilarating treetops ropes course – the Green Challenge Adventure Parc – is bigger and even more exciting than ever before.
The Green Challenge Adventure Parc is the newest nature-based adventure experience for the Gold Coast.
Sixty-five challenges, over four separate courses, weave their way through the eucalypt and rainforest canopy, taking visitors higher and further into the spectacular natural setting.
The Green Challenge is based on the Adventure Parc concept, which takes elements of SAS commando training delivered as safe, fun and exciting treetops ropes courses for children and adults.

The new Currumbin courses are like no other – surrounded by native wildlife, combined with world-class wildlife displays and shows located just a short walk from one of Australia’s best beaches.

The four courses include two beginners’ courses, one intermediate course and an advanced course designed to offer the ultimate challenge for participants.
With high Tarzan swings and a giant flying fox, the Green Challenge Adventure Parc will test the agility and daring of anyone who takes on the course.
Each of the Green Challenge Adventure Parc courses has been designed for children and adults alike for family fun, fitness and team building (children must reach 160cm from heels to outstretched fingers to enter the Green Challenge and 180 cm for the advanced, Black Course).

All necessary equipment and a safety briefing are provided for each participant, ensuring a safe, fun and exhilarating experience.
To enjoy the new Green Challenge Adventure Parc attraction, visitors can purchase A 2 Park Adventure Pass – a two attraction pass for entry to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary plus the Green Challenge Adventure Parc with a bonus day free entry to be used within 14 days.

Wildnight Adventure

After dark, Currumbin comes alive with activity. Our amazing nocturnal animals come out to feed, hunt and play, and Australia’s indigenous people perform amazing traditional dance and music. It’s all in a fully guided, absolutely fascinating 2.5 hour Wildnight Adventure you must experience at least once in your life.

You’ll get to touch some of our incredible creatures. Witness things that growl, hop and slither getting stuck into their evening meals. You’ll see one of the biggest Saltwater Crocs in Australia. Hand-feed our big mob of friendly kangaroos. See the Tasmanian devil at his most active. Cuddle the koalas.

During the Wildnight Adventure, you will also experience traditional culture with members of the Jaran Dance Troupe, who provide the only daily Aboriginal and Islander dance performance on the Gold Coast.

Lorikeet Arena
From Saturday, April 4, the Lorikeet Arena will be opened up for free entry to celebrate Queensland’s 150th birthday. Just like the early days of this great Queensland icon, you can feed the lorikeets for a gold coin donation.

You can also explore the retail outlets and enjoy fresh local produce for breakfast, lunch or dinner at Sanctuary Café - and, if you wish, purchase entry to enjoy a full day at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.

The arena precinct will become the centre of a refurbished dining and retail experience, while also providing a venue for free community events and entertainment.

The Lorikeets feed at the Sanctuary from 8:00am-9:00am and at 4:00pm-5:00pm each day, just as they did when Alex Griffiths founded the Sanctuary more than 60 years ago. So come back to Currumbin and celebrate with us!
